Causes for Hormonal Acne
The main cause for excess sebum is the amount of toxins and excess androgens present in our body. The amount of excess toxins that needs to be thrown out of our body through skin is caused by weak digestive system, poor functioning of lever and kidney. It can also be caused due to junk food, allergies and chemicals found in food and environment.
Hormonal imbalances are generally caused by excessive production of sebum especially androgens. It can be caused by stress (both emotional and physical), hormones in animal produce or foods, genetic problem and malnutrition. The main group of hormones that controls the production of sebum is androgens. Hormones mostly work as team which would result in impacting each other in different ways.
Androgens help in producing the natural skin oil, if you have excess of androgens hormones, it would result in producing extra oil. Excess of androgen hormones can result in reducing other hormones that prevents the production of androgens hormones. In addition, you can also have other hormones in excess quantity thereby resulting in the imbalance of hormones. The imbalance in the hormones is the main cause for hormonal acne.
