Various reasons are there among which dehydration, lip licking, climate change, overexposure to sun, harsh weather, over use of chemicals, smoking, vitamin deficiencies, side effects of medicines, etc. are prominent causes.

Ways To Cure Cracked Lips

Drink Adequate Water

Drinking adequate water everyday is necessary to keep your body hydrated. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water everyday to keep your body hydrated. Other than making your body hydrated water also flushes out those unwanted products from body through urine and stool.

For this reason people who are going through some medication should drink enough water to remove those excess unwanted products from the body.

Salt and Sugar Scrub

Use a salt or sugar scrub. Apply the scrub to your lips and massage them in a circular motion, rubbing away the dead skin (you can also try using sugar added to a little olive oil as an exfoliant). Your lips should feel soft and renewed.

Use an exfoliating brush

The easiest brush to use in this case might be your toothbrush! Just make sure it’s clean. Any other small, soft-bristle brush will also do. Rub it over your lips in a circular motion to remove dead skin.

To maintain a healthy skin and lips you will need Vitamin A, B, C, B2, and E. You can take vitamin supplements under the guidance of doctor. Or you can eat natural foods to get all those things.

Natural food absorbed well in the body. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables to get not only vitamins but also a great amount of fluid. Eat one boiled egg everyday because an egg contains a great amount of vitamins.

Regular Lip Care

Regular lip care is necessary for the treatment of cracked lips. Massage your lips with any baby oil. Apply a thick layer of baby cream on your lips for sometimes. Then wait for a minute and allow the cream to get absorbed. The skin of the lip will get soft.
