Bananas

Both raw and ripe bananas can help treat diarrhea due to their pectin content. This water-soluble fiber helps absorb fluids in the intestines, which in turn helps add bulk to the stool.

Being high in potassium, it even helps replace electrolytes that may be lost during diarrhea.

Black Pepper

Black pepper mixtures help cure loose motions too! This herb is used in several concoctions prepared for treating diarrhea. Take two cups of water in a pot and boil it.

Then add three teaspoons of black pepper to it. Add some kelp to it next. One it is done drink this mixture. It helps you get rid off loose motion.

Fenugreek Seeds

Fenugreek seeds are a great help in treating loose motion or preventing loose stools. These seeds can be taken in with a glass of buttermilk. This is one of the most common cures for dysentery. It helps reduce loose motion.

Another recipe with fenugreek seeds is – take a cup of yoghurt and half a teaspoon of cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds. Roast both the seeds and add the yoghurt to it. Take this mixture thrice every day. It helps you get rid of loose motions very fast!

Turkey Berries

Turkey berries are commonly available in grocery stores and excellent cure for lose motions. Take some turkey berries and fry it and eat it along with buttermilk and rice. You can also use turkey berries with neem. Mix some turkey berries with some neem leaves and one table spoon of black gram.

Add one tablespoon of red gram or Bengal gram to this mixture. You can eat this with rice and ghee. You may even add salt for taste. This greatly helps in getting rid of loose motions and doesn’t even taste bad!

Fennel and Cumin

Take fennel and white cumin seeds, in a ratio of one is to one. Then roast the mixture of these seeds. Now take three grams of this mixture once in three hours along with a glass of water. You will feel much better by the end of the day. Fennel helps settle your stomach and prevents loosening of stools.

Ginger

Ginger is another effective treatment for loose motions. It helps reduce any cramps and pains that may be occurring. You can drink two to three cups of ginger tea everyday for fulfilling this purpose. Another recipe is taking half a teaspoon of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of ginger juice and a little pepper powder.

Take this mixture twice a day. Ginger is greatly helpful in settling upset stomachs and getting rid of loose motions. You can just add half a teaspoon of ginger juice to a cup of boiling water and drink it.

Turmeric

Another effective remedy is from your spice rack – turmeric. Its antibiotic nature helps fight bacteria that cause this annoying problem. This spice can even help keep your system working properly. Mix half teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of warm water. Mix it well and drink it fast, as the powder tends to quickly settle on the bottom. Drink this 2 or 3 times a day.
